Jürg Spiller

Jürg Spiller (1913–1974) was a Swiss abstract expressionist artist who lived and worked in Paris. He met Ellsworth Kelly by chance in 1951, and their friendship helped open connections for Kelly within the inner circles of the French art world. Through Spiller, Kelly was introduced to artists such as Georges Vantongerloo and Alberto Magnelli.
