Galerie Rive Droite
Opened in 1954 by Jean Larcade with Michel Tapié as advisor, Galerie Rive Droite was a key venue for postwar modern art in Paris. Closely associated with the promotion of Art Informel and Tachism, the gallery played an important role in shaping the reception of both European and American abstraction. It hosted major exhibitions by Jean-Paul Riopelle(1954), Georges Mathieu (1954), Jean Fautrier (1955), Sam Francis (1956), and Yves Klein (1961), among others, before closing in 1962.
