Larry Rivers Studio
Larry Rivers spent only a relatively brief period in Paris, yet his studio was situated within the vibrant artistic environment of Montparnasse and the Left Bank, areas that remained central to the cosmopolitan culture of postwar Paris. Surrounded by galleries, cafés, academies, and artists’ ateliers, Rivers moved within an international network of painters, poets, musicians, and writers whose exchanges reflected the experimental and interdisciplinary atmosphere of the city’s postwar avant garde.
