Jean Arp Studio

Meudon-Val-Fleury, Hauts-de-Seine

The studio of Jean Arp, now the Fondation Arp, was located in Meudon-Val-Fleury outside Paris and served as both residence and workspace for the Dada and abstraction pioneer. Kelly visited the studio twice: in February 1950 with Ralph Coburn at Arp’s invitation, shortly after they had met at a Hans Richter opening; and again in June of the same year with Jack Youngerman.
